Dive BVI is looking for qualified candidates to join our exceptional team!

We represent one of the Caribbean’s Top Dive/Tour businesses and work closely with high-end clientele in the resort, charter and mega-yacht spaces.  We provide excellent service, magical experiences and high standards.  It is our goal to exceed expectations from all sides.  We offer both SSI and PADI courses, however, we are an SSI Diamond Resort and teach within that system unless otherwise specified.  We are in search of motivated individuals who have great attention to detail, sees the bigger picture and are true self-starters.  We have been in business since 1975 and have set the standards for BVI diving.

Position:  Open Water Instructor/Licensed Boat Captain
Candidates will be expected to learn to run trips independently early on, create solid trust and cohesiveness with the team and engage in the development and growth of the business and themselves professionally.  Candidates without Boat Captain Qualifications may train with the team once a solid foundation of service is shown.  We encourage all of our staff to grow their potential earnings and skillsets.  We have an SSI Instructor Trainer on staff to assist in your Professional Development.
Position Details:

Leading Dive Tours, Scuba Instruction (Introductory to Advanced required), Snorkel/Day Trip leading, tank fills/servicing, equipment cleaning, rental management.  Cleaning and maintaining facilities and boats is a daily requirement to keep them ready and safe for our guests. The candidate needs to be ready to take on all aspects of the industry as needed – we work when there’s work and rest hard when it’s quiet.

Qualifications:
  • Active Scuba Instructor with Nitrox Instructor rating
  • Current First Aid/CPR/Oxygen Provider
  • STCW qualifications
  • Clean Medical/Drug test
  • Non-smoker
  • Drivers License
Additional Qualifications (not required, but a huge advantage):
Engine repair/maintenance experience, equipment technician, experience driving boats, underwater photography/video skills and equipment, secondary language skills

Salaried Position + bonuses, paid vacation, gratuities

Minimum 15 Month Contract – after an initial three month trial period as required by Labour Department

Required to reside on Virgin Gorda
