What is Rendezvous Diving?
Rendezvous diving means that you sail to your desired destination and we’ll bring our boat, staff and dive equipment to you. Our professional staff will lead you on a guided tour of the BVI’s best dive sites all the while monitoring your dive profiles and air consumption. They’ll handle the navigation and point out interesting creatures for you as well.
As we like to say, all you have to do is swim, breathe and have fun! All of our dive guides carry magnetic slates so that fish/creature identification can easily be made and communicated to our divers.
Why cram several sets of dive gear into your charter boat and try to find the best sites when a simple call to Dive BVI brings everything to you? We use new Scubapro BCDs and regulators for our diving equipment. You can sail around as you please and we’ll carry the heavy stuff. If you have your own gear, we’ll gladly use our freshwater hose on-board our boats to rinse your equipment after diving. We can even provide you with Nitrox tanks if you have proof of Nitrox certification.
Our goal is to make your diving safer and your enjoyment greater. Our staff is very experienced and very knowledgeable about fish ID, coral conservation and BVI history. They look forward to showing you the beauty of the BVI.
How does it work?
Contact us, place a phone call when you arrive, or hail us on VHF Ch. 16 as “Dive BVI”, and everything you need will be set-up when we rendezvous at your mooring location. Scubapro regulators, BCDs, fins, masks, snorkels, wetsuits and, of course, tanks and weights are all onboard ready to go. Our custom dive boats are loaded with safety equipment – DAN Oxygen kits, pocket masks, First Aid kits, Rescue Rope throw bags, Life rings, VHF radios, life vests, flare kits and cellular phones. Diver safety is our top priority.
Our service area includes pickups at the following locations:
- Scrub Island
- Marina Cay
- Dog Islands
- Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda
- Ginger Island
- Cooper Island
- Salt Island
Pickups can be made at North Sound – Virgin Gorda, Peter Island and Norman Island with advance reservations (minimums do apply).
With Dive BVI’s rendezvous service, there is no extra charge for the pickup. It’s all part of the package! Rendezvous dives must be pre-paid, we’ll bring you a printed receipt when we pick you up. Minimum diver requirements apply for Norman and Peter Island pickups.
